High School (Freshman) Students
Students who will be first-time college students and will attend the University soon
after completing high school.
Non-Traditional Students
Students who have not attended high school or college within the previous five years
and have earned fewer than 30 transferable semester hours (45 quarter hours) and who
hold a high school diploma or have completed the GED satisfactorily.
International Students
A student (F-1 and J-1 visas) who is not a citizen of, or a refugee, or a permanent
resident of the United States of America.
Early Admission (Joint Enrollment) Students
Students who are currently enrolled in high school and would like to earn college
credit prior to their high school graduation.
Post Baccalaureate Students
Students who hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college and who wish to attend
classes at Southern Poly but are not seeking a degree. This student type is not eligible
for Financial Aid.
Audit Students
Students who are interested in enrolling in courses but do not wish to receive college
grades or credit.
Transient Students
Students who are currently enrolled in another college but want to take courses at
SPSU and transfer back to home institution.
